Ghostwriting takes several forms and can include all or a fraction of a manuscript. Specific information from the client is an important part of the process for this to be successful. It is the ghostwriter’s responsibility to capture the voice the client requests.
Non-fiction – You provide background information, facts, names, locations, and all relevant information to create the materials. Frequent phone consultation is required to accurately reflect the tone of voice, structure, intent, and content. Extensive research requires an extra fee.
Fiction – You provide a basic outline of the manuscript as you conceive it, a list of character names and settings, plot intention, target audience, genre, and other relevant information to create a story. Frequent phone consultation is required to ensure that the tone and point of view, structure, and your intent for the book are consistent.
Ghostwriting 1 – The ghostwriter writes a percentage of the manuscript, specifics included in the agreement prior to starting the project. Your notes are available for research – plot outline, character profiles, settings, genre, target audience.
Ghostwriting 2 – The ghostwriter writes 100% of the manuscript, specifics included in the agreement before starting the project. Information in the form of notes is available from you to the ghostwriter – plot ideas, character profiles, settings, genre, target audience and needs to be written into a book. Ghostwriting brings your voice to life and requires extensive time in phone discussions and meetings, reviewing developmental ideas, drafting outlines, collecting research materials, test writing, and full manuscript writing.
Fees are based on nationally accepted standards. Payment plans are available.
